What makes Linden Green Studio candles different?

Pure essential oils. No fragrance oils. Every scent composed in-house.

Our candles begin with a feeling: the comfort of coming home, the quiet of an unhurried evening, the anticipation of a favourite season.

We translate that feeling into scent, one essential oil at a time, then hand-pour each candle in Ontario using coconut-apricot wax and natural wooden wicks. We share the essential oils behind every blend, so you know what brings each scent to life.

We create candles for more than a beautiful scent. We create them to make ordinary moments feel worth noticing—and worth keeping.

Do you use pure essential oils?

Yes. Linden Green Studio candles are scented exclusively with pure essential oils and botanical extracts.

We do not use synthetic fragrance oils in our candles. Each blend is developed using botanical essential oils selected to create a layered scent experience as the candle burns.

What kind of wax do you use?

Our candles are hand-poured using a premium coconut-apricot wax selected for its smooth appearance, beautiful burn, and ability to complement our essential-oil blends.

What do your candles smell like?

Rather than describing each candle with a simple list of scent notes, we want you to be able to imagine the moment it creates.

Every product page includes a Scent Journey explaining what you may notice first, how the essential-oil blend develops as the candle burns, and the notes that remain.

Will an essential-oil candle smell different from a conventional scented candle?

It can.

Pure essential-oil blends tend to create a more natural, nuanced aromatic experience rather than attempting to reproduce the character of a conventional perfume-style candle.

Because botanical oils contain naturally occurring aromatic components, different notes may become more noticeable as the candle warms and the blend unfolds.

How strong are your candles?

Our candles are designed to create a noticeable scent in your space without overwhelming it.

Scent perception can vary depending on the essential-oil blend, room size, airflow, and even your own sensitivity to particular botanical notes. Some blends naturally feel brighter and more immediately noticeable, while others are softer and more intimate.

How long will my candle burn?

Our full-size candles are designed to provide many hours of burn time when cared for properly.
Actual burn time can vary depending on the length of each burn, wick maintenance, room conditions, and airflow.

Why do you use wooden wicks?

We chose natural FSC wooden wicks for the atmosphere they bring to the experience — including their subtle crackle as the candle burns.

Wooden wicks behave a little differently from traditional cotton wicks, so proper trimming and care are important. You’ll find complete instructions on our Candle Care & Safety page.

Where are Linden Green Studio candles made?

Every Linden Green Studio candle is hand-poured in Ontario, Canada in small batches.

From blending the essential oils to pouring and finishing each candle, our process is intentionally small-scale and hands-on.

Are your candles handmade?

Yes.

Our candles are poured and finished by hand in small batches. Because they aren’t mass-produced, you may occasionally notice subtle variations from candle to candle.

Those small differences are part of the nature of a handcrafted product and do not affect the candle’s intended performance.

How do I choose a candle when I can’t smell it online?

Start with the moment, rather than trying to choose from scent notes alone.

Think about what you’re drawn to: something bright and unhurried, floral and beautiful, grounded and atmospheric, or soft and restful.

Can I send a Linden Green Studio candle as a gift?

Absolutely.

Our candles are designed to feel special from the moment they’re opened, making them beautiful gifts for birthdays, housewarmings, holidays, thank-yous, celebrations — or simply because someone deserves a lovely ordinary day.

What if I’m sending my order directly to someone as a gift?

You can have your order shipped directly to the recipient by entering their address as the shipping address during checkout.

Please double-check the recipient’s address before completing your order.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

If you notice a mistake or need to request a change, please contact us as soon as possible.

Because we begin preparing orders promptly, we cannot guarantee that changes or cancellations can be made once an order has entered processing or has shipped.

What happens after I place my order?

Once your order is received, we’ll carefully prepare and package it for shipment.

You’ll receive an order confirmation by email, followed by shipping information once your order is on its way.

What if my candle arrives damaged?

We take great care when packaging every order, but glass occasionally has other plans.

If something arrives damaged, please don’t use the candle. Contact us promptly with your order number and clear photographs of the candle and packaging so we can review what happened and help you.

Can I return a candle if I don’t like the scent?

Because scent is highly personal and candles are a consumable product, please review our Returns, Damages & Refunds policy before purchasing.

We encourage you to read each candle’s Scent Journey before ordering to help you choose a blend that feels right for you, if you have more questions about the scent, send us a message and we would be happy to help you choose the scent that best suits you.

Do you offer seasonal or limited-edition candles?

Yes.

Alongside our core collection, Linden Green Studio releases seasonal and limited collections throughout the year. Some are produced in intentionally small quantities and may not return once they sell out.

Do you offer wholesale?
