Welcome to Linden Green Studio.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Linden Green Studio website and your purchase and use of products offered through our website. Throughout these Terms, “Linden Green Studio,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Linden Green Studio. “You” and “your” refer to the person accessing our website or purchasing our products.

By accessing our website, submitting an order, or purchasing a product, you agree to these Terms and the policies referenced within them.

Eligibility and Website Use

By using our website and making a purchase, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into the transaction or are otherwise authorized to do so. You agree not to use our website or products for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable laws.

Our Products

Linden Green Studio creates small-batch botanical candles and related products. Our products are handcrafted, and natural materials may vary. Minor differences in wax colour, texture, glass, wood, natural materials, appearance, packaging, or other handcrafted characteristics may occur between products or batches and do not necessarily constitute defects.

We make reasonable efforts to photograph and describe our products accurately. Colours and appearance may vary depending on lighting, photography, screens, and device settings.

Essential Oils and Product Descriptions

Our candles may be scented with pure essential oils. Natural ingredients may vary subtly between batches. Descriptions referring to scent, atmosphere, mood, intention, reflection, renewal, rest, ritual, or similar experiences are intended to describe the sensory or creative character of our products. They are not medical or therapeutic claims. Linden Green Studio products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

Candle Safety

Candles contain an open flame and must be used responsibly. Customers are responsible for reading and following all candle-care and safety instructions supplied with the product, on its warning label, packaging, and/or our website.

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep candles away from children, pets, drafts, flammable materials, and anything that may catch fire. Burn candles only on stable, heat-resistant surfaces. Follow the recommended wick-trimming and maximum burn-time instructions. Discontinue use if the vessel is cracked, damaged, excessively hot, or otherwise appears unsafe.

Product Availability

Products are subject to availability. Because our products are made in small batches, quantities may be limited. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue products, collections, packaging, pricing, or availability at any time.

Orders

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current billing, payment, contact, and shipping information. Submission of an order does not guarantee acceptance. We may refuse or cancel an order for legitimate reasons, including suspected fraud, unauthorized payment activity, product unavailability, obvious pricing errors, technical errors, or misuse of our website. If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, we will refund the applicable amount to the original payment method where appropriate.

Prices, Taxes and Payment

Prices are displayed in the currency indicated on our website. Applicable taxes, shipping charges, and other applicable costs will be displayed or otherwise disclosed during checkout as required. Payment must be successfully authorized before an order is fulfilled. We may accept major credit cards, Shop Pay, PayPal, and other payment methods made available through our website.

Pricing and Website Errors

We make reasonable efforts to ensure our website is accurate. Occasionally, a price, description, image, availability status, or other piece of information may contain an error. Where permitted by law, we reserve the right to correct errors and cancel an affected transaction where necessary. If an order is cancelled after payment has been processed, the applicable amount will be refunded.

Shipping and Delivery

Available shipping methods, costs, and estimated delivery times will be presented at checkout where applicable. Delivery dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed. Delivery may be affected by carrier delays, customs processing, weather, service interruptions, incorrect addresses, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. Our Shipping & Delivery Policy forms part of these Terms.

International Orders

International shipments may be subject to customs duties, tariffs, taxes, brokerage charges, import fees, or other charges imposed by governmental authorities or shipping carriers. Unless expressly stated at checkout that these amounts are included or prepaid, such charges are the responsibility of the recipient. International customers are responsible for ensuring that products ordered from Linden Green Studio may lawfully be imported into their destination.

Final Sale

Except where required by applicable law or as expressly provided in our Returns, Damages & Refunds Policy, all Linden Green Studio sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, scent preference, or other personal preference. Please carefully review product descriptions and order details before completing your purchase.

Damaged Products

If a product arrives damaged, you must contact Linden Green Studio within 48 hours of confirmed delivery to request consideration for a replacement or other available remedy. Please retain all packaging and provide your order number and clear photographs of the product, shipping container, packaging materials, and damage. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, content appearing on the Linden Green Studio website — including our business name, branding, logo, product names, photographs, original written copy, graphics, illustrations, packaging designs, and other creative materials — is owned by or licensed to Linden Green Studio and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Website content is provided for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, commercially exploit, or create derivative commercial works from our protected content without prior written permission.

Reviews and User-Submitted Content

If you voluntarily submit a product review, testimonial, photograph, comment, or other content, you represent that you have the right to provide that content and that it does not infringe the rights of another person. We reserve the right to moderate or decline publication of content where reasonably appropriate.

Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

use our website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
interfere with the security or operation of the website
introduce viruses, malicious code, or harmful technology
attempt unauthorized access to systems or customer accounts

Our website may use services provided by Shopify, Shop Pay, PayPal, Google, payment processors, shipping carriers, and other independent third parties. Those providers may maintain their own terms and policies. Linden Green Studio is not responsible for independently operated third-party services except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Linden Green Studio is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from misuse of our website or products contrary to instructions provided. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, warranties, rights, or remedies where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes to our business, products, website, services, policies, or legal obligations. The current version will be posted on our website with its most recent update date.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without limiting mandatory consumer rights that may apply under applicable law.
